A blog would be great for publishing RT related news. Making updates
available in RSS would allow us to use news aggregators and obviate the need
to constantly check the RT site.
One solution to circumvent outgoing smtp from RT and it's related pitfalls,
is to continue to accept posts through email and\or a web-based form (or
even a Reblet) and then make posts available with RSS. I guess that has
already been proposed - creating an RSS feed for the new web archive.
Although, you need to take into account the bandwidth consumed by the 500 to
2000 or whatever the number is of aggregators that are polling your server
every few minutes.
I find sites like the one below to be very useful, but this is more of a
collection of individual blogs - so I'm not sure if it can spark any ideas.

Also, I'm not sure that any aggregators exist that can gather related posts
and display them in a threaded view. Maybe a nice little Rebol based news
reader would be in order.
