Accessed without Rebol ?  I wonder if you *really* believe someone 
who does not have rebol installed would be coming to a devcon!

you may be on a pc without rebol. but - why not? ;)

so, ok, let's write a little script.

I suspect that the number of people who would be interested in going, 
and don't have rebol installed, are far outweighed by those that 
do, and don't read english.

You don't need cgi either, you can use 

set-net [ "form" 216.40.214.39 ]

in your script, and then 'send the results to you.

graham: i agree, but if you don't read english, how are you supposed 
to attend the conference or speak with each other there?

of course i will just use send in the script.

I guess it should be

can't we just keep the users's config? that won't work if you're 
behind proxies or something like that.

Graham: so you want to keep Mac users away from the Devcon do you?

I expect the Mac port to be completed soon enough now that 1.3 is 
out :)

From those who attended the last one, is two days sufficient, too 
much, or not enough time?

graham: depends on number of speakers. we had to rush a lot at last 
one (my speech was reduced from 45 mins to about 10 mins)

have you talked to Carl, if he would come to Italy?

he will.

I think if you're going to pay 1000s of $ to travel so far, then 
that is a real shame to cut short the speakers.

i'd say, No Carl No Party. :)

How about "Lake Como"? Only 30 min outside of Milan, and quite a 
sight from what I have heard.

well, it will depend how expensive is such hotel :-)

I was thinking about organizing the conference in Lake Como, if possible; 
Nice surroundings.

yes. a high school.

I have thought it will be big show. Some small hotel or so :-) But 
that would be surely more expensive ...

If you are searching for hotels, try: www.hrs.de It's on of the best 
hotel reservation systems I know about.

IIRC they have an english interface as well.

I'm still thinking if I go by plane or by car. As I live in the south-west 
of Germany, I could pick-up some people.

I would welcome if interim releases would be commented in the same 
way, as Carl did with View 1.3 Build Change Log. It keeps ppl informed 
....

very exciting.  seems an excellent idea to use the school, better 
facilities than a hotel, and likely all the equipment for classes 
(projectors, screens, even overheads maybe?)

And if it's cheaper, may be more people can come.

now the dates.   If anyone of us is about to go there and reserve 
flights and hotels... the sooner the date is known, the sooner its 
possible to try and make it.
