We had to do an update, the "download file" was driving me crazy.

Sorry about the reset to font size...just hit the [aA]

somehow, I find that everytime the CTRL-S option is reset (which 
happens every now and then), I loose 5-10 minutes tring to put it 
back, looking in my options and trying to remember where that option 
is setup.. the pencil icon just has no relevance to the option and 
find that its easily forgotten... why not just use the CTRL-S or 
ENTER text itself as the toggle button?

You mean write it out in "english?"

no no... just remove the pencil button and use the actual current 
"or press CTRL-S"  face as a toggle instead of just a label.

So, to get an update, it has to drive R crazy ?

hum , if we all concentrate on one feature and bug R every single 
time he logs on... it will "Drive him crazy" ... ;-)  so lets choose 
our next wanted feature!!!!!

First request - remove the file limit size ( Tomc )

Second request - save each post in the clipboard so if the connection 
is lost, the message is not.

Graham, I don't like that. What about my important code snippet that 
was sitting in the clipboard? I'd just rather that AltME simply doesn't 
lose messages. Perhaps store them in a Sent Messages block

Third request - filter our "God" "Christianity" "Evolution"

ie. each channel have words that can be marked as "swear words"

What about highlight words? If my name appears in a discussion, could 
the message be highlighted in the discussion as well as in the group 
list?

Synapse has it's own clipboard where it stores all sent messages

it doesn't use the system clipboard

graham, ok that's probably the same as what I described with a block 
of sent messages.

I'd second your second request, Graham.

Fixing bugs that cause data to be lost should be a no-brainer for 
any software developer:

Ortherwise part of the user manual should read: "if you put your 
data [here] and [this] happens, we will destroy your data for you."

Request number 2 has now moved up ... to Request 0 !

Graham, I understood alright :-) I just thought maybe they could 
be very specific options, i.e. buttons in preferences: One labeled 
"God", another "Christianity", "Evolution", "Graham", etc. :-)

ie. automatically allow oneself to be added to someone's kill file
