with some many forum/place to post, and visit. I want to find a copy 
of Excel Dialect, but it's no longer available at http://www.robertmuench.de/download/,

Rebol central sounds like a good place to collate information on 
all the rebol derivatives

To whom it may concern: I guess that it might make sense to define 
a new REBOL-SYNTAX group discussing REBOL syntax, and its description

Could you please explain to us poor, what is the aim of the project? 
(probably in different group). Is it e.g. for clones to be eventually 
compatible syntax wise?

Intended purposes:

1) making a formal syntax description available
2) for the purposes of clone definition
3) any other purpose one sees fit

The name server was supposed to be distributed over the world, but 
once when it was down it turned out that it runs on one DSL line

We've been bitten by closed source Rebol and we rely on closed source

AltME "customers" would make a difference in the kind of pressure 
exerted when the name server goes down vs when "just" the REBOL3 
world goes down.

We are paying customers for SDk ... but have no special access

was due to such external pressure.
