[REBOL] Re: Wildman and the Amiga

Hi Allessandro,
Yes - Hardware Abstraction Layer.
ExecSG is the kernel of the OS. I am not sure of its legal status (who actually owns
the code) as some very gifted contractors have been involved.
REBOL could be compiled for OS4 at the moement, but the product is in a little legal
mess at the moment and HW is a problem.
I am hoping that after the legal mess, then it will be ported to the PS3, there is interest
in this but no promises (more is the pity).
It occurred to me that ExecSG may be an ideal Wildman candidate (it is very small, fast
and I believe very stable).
Wildman has me intrigued because a script based application environment without all the
other clutter strikes me as a very good way to go, and I am liking REBOL more and more
for this ambition.
The Friedman borthers (Thomas and Hans-Joerg) may be at the Commodore Amiga simposium
at Empoli (Fi). If they do turn up it would worth having a word with them.

Hello,
first of all: thank you for this info!
More: (I will read info in the link you posted) but can you get me more info
about ExecSG's HAL (I imagine it it Hardware Abstraction Layer)?
Do you think such piece can will allow Rebol (most recent version) run on
Amiga?
