Ahhh, the mystery ingredients.
It is frustrating not having a single, authoritative source for
information. Allen Kamp has some archived documents from beta's that
actually go into more detail than the current official docs. One is at

The material is about 2/3 the way down. Note that some of the
information in this document is out of date, but these pieces become
self evident on trial.
