Just reading around and getting up-to-date... I found RAMBO. I send
a bug report with the "Feedback" thing on RT's homepage. Should I
post it again with RAMBO? Maybe I'll get better response?

To whom it may concern, on ticket -304 (currently) I misunderstood
the purpose of the Fix field and filled it with prose with no line
breaks. Could somebody fix this, perhaps by moving the prose to the
Description section? The Fix section doesn't wordwrap, my entry messes
up the layout of the Rambo web site.

Due to change in 'forall, yes, but some people (on French forum)
are in trouble with that.
Does it worth a RAMBO ticket ???

Oh, I just wanted to make a suggestion for the green "RAMBO Statistics"
box. I would like each number to be a link that is the rambo search
query which gives the tickets in question. ie. "New tickets: 1"
 - when you click on the "1", you should get a page with the summary
of the new ticket.

But before I did that, I wanted to see if I could help by writing
the code to implement the change.

Gabriele, can you add an extra bit to the details here http://www.rebol.net/cgi-bin/rambo.r?id=3837&

A reason for wanting this is to be able to generate an image of what
the style looks like without opening a window, eg. for documentation.

(It's good to see what the original reasons are for each bug report.
Should make fixing them more satisfying too.)

Rambo #3869 "** CRASH (Should not happen) - Invalid string width

Simply put - I don't want to use installer, the option of not installing
rebol is no option for me, that is for eng user. We have -i or --noinstall,
whose behavior can be regarded as being buggy and I want to submit
it to RAMBO. I want to ask, if anyone else agree ...

Pekr:

is there a list of fixes/additions somewhere? Or can I query RAMBO

BrianH:
8-Sep-2005
Ladislav, I agree that since ^} is usable, so should be ^{. Counting
of braces can be quite awkward without this. This should be submitted
to RAMBO.

In any case, this behavior doesn't affect the ability to work with
strings or limit the characters that they can contain. This only
affects how strings are specified in REBOL source code. Once they
are parsed by load, it doesn't matter where any ^ is in their contents.
Try reading (READ native) data with arbitrary ^, { and } from a file
and there will be no escaping performed. A load (LOAD native) of
that same file will check REBOL data syntax and do any escaping it
can.

Should I submit RAMBO ticket? Rebol.com website refers to View 1.3.1
and mentions Windows 9x, which is not true. Dunno who and why decided
that we should cut-off Win95 machines, but it happened. And as I
will not use old 1.2.1 with all those differences anymore (yes, I
am that one who prefers adjusts old stuff to new versions), we cut
off some xy percentage of potential customers. I will have to check
if Win98SE are affected by that too ... anyway - my point is, that
such missleading info should be removed from website ...

henrik: i added your wish to rambo. will probably be implemented.
Ladislav:
17-Jun-2005
Henrik: your wish looks unnatural, I prefer the following:

    default [index? find [a b c] 'd] [none]

the Default function is available and it has been in Rambo for quite
some time
BrianH:
18-Jun-2005
The only time I've found it useful to use index is when using values
in one series as a key to values in another series. Kind of rare
when you have select/skip, but sometimes you don't want to modify
the data series. All right, since RAMBO says that there are problems
with select/skip right now, maybe not so rare.
Anton:
23-Jun-2005
I don't remember seeing that in rambo.

Paul - non ability to open port on specific device or stuff you mentioned
should be submitted to RAMBO as a wish, or as a bug, if Rebol claims
to be networking internet language ;-)

I say to rambo with that.
PeterWood:

name.
Volker:
21-Aug-2005
Maybe they join, the next RAMBO is about entering some bad computer
and sqush all the bugmonsters there?
Ladislav:
21-Aug-2005
note: although it looks safe, it may become a victim of the GC bug
I described in RAMBO group recently. A slower but safer implementation
is:

default: func [
    {Execute code. If error occurs, execute fault.}
    [throw]
    code [block!] {Code to execute}
    fault [block!] {Error handler}
] [
either error? set/any 'code try code [
do make function! [[throw] error [error!]] fault
    ] [get/any 'code]
]
Ladislav:
13-Sep-2005
It looks that I should post it to Rambo, then
Graham:
17-Sep-2005
either that, or a RAMBO entry.
Henrik:
17-Sep-2005
so if there were to be a RAMBO entry, it would be because ALL doesn't
return logic! values. the case would be the same for ANY. But there
has to be a reason why it's made like this.

A couple of issues with makedoc2:

1. Table headers are double height and the text in the last column

BrianH: then Rambo-it! :-)
BrianH:
1-Nov-2005
Well, I submitted the entry when you all said it was OK (I forgot

much more than feedback - more public.
JaimeVargas:

Geomol:

The 'to position' thing, we talk about in the RAMBO group also works
with blocks:
>> parse ["string" 123 [me-:-server-:-dagobah]] [to 2 mk: (print mk)]
123 [me-:-server-:-dagobah]
== false

TO also works with datatypes, as explained in the Core documentation:

>> parse ["string" 123 [me-:-server-:-dagobah]] [to email! mk: (print mk)]
[me-:-server-:-dagobah]
== false
Joe:

Anton:

This is the same source as on Windows.

REQUEST-FILE is just a wrapper for LOCAL-REQUEST-FILE, which is native
on Windows and I suppose might be native on Linux.

You must post source of LOCAL-REQUEST-FILE or rambo the problem if
it is native.
btiffin:
8-Apr-2007
If it does, we can get someone to update RAMBO ticket 3455 with this
hint.
btiffin:
9-Apr-2007
Alan; the sensible-browser seems to be a Debain branch feature.
It's GPL so we can work that out. The hint I left for the RAMBO
folk is to internally call sensible-browser. This won't work for
us until RT does a build. Once/if that is done, we can talk/plan
more, about documenting getting browse native functioning.

In the meantime, try the browse: [url /only] call reform ["path
to browser command" rejoin [{"} url {"}]]

redef. If you know the switches for your browser, you can even code
this to support /only.

Oh well, now that there is an official (alpha) release of rebcode,
I submitted my HERE directive to RAMBO.
BrianH:
15-Oct-2005
Now you have a nice RAMBO entry to work with.
BrianH:
15-Oct-2005
Well, I think putting an entry in the Rebol Enhancements group or

BrianH:
18-Oct-2005
On that note, a request: Please integrate the HERE (or OFFSET, you
decide) directive I requested, RAMBO 3924. This will make BRAW useful
for handwritten code; right now BRAW is only practical for compiler-generated
code with no user-defined rewrite rules, because of the offset calculations
required.

Pekr:
21-Oct-2005
yes, Jaime, I can understand it, but from the Brian's answer, you
can consciously feel, that folks here would deserve some feedback.
RT Q&A channel stopped working as promissed, folks put their requests
in rebcode, RT Q&A, Rebol Enhancements group, RAMBO, just to be sure
they are noticed. So - if RT monitors the situation here directly,
or via Gabriele the "proxy", then folks here should receive some
answers imo ... I still hope they will? :-)

Thanks Brock. Robert, looks like you've hit the same error I RAMBOed

A real pain as it can be consistently reproduced (and hence avoided),
but with no pattern [that I can see]. If Carl implements SQLite-like
support (see latest blog entry) then hopefully this will become a
moot point as we won't require the library call anymore.

I have to delay the Cheyenne release by one day due to numerous issues
today while running it on Linux. Among these issue are rebol crashing
bugs on linux (like mold/all/flat, listed on RAMBO).
Group: !CureCode ... web-based bugtracking tool [web-public]
Dockimbel:
7-Jul-2007
Reichart, it's a good and logical question. There're several reasons
:

1) To have a real application to test the concepts and implementation
of Cheyenne's RSP engine. It has proved to be really useful in helping
me see the gaps and find bugs in RSP engine.

2) To demo the features of RSP framework and Cheyenne's performances.
(CureCode is really fast !)

3) RAMBO is very limited (able to handle only one project), the bugtracking
part of Trac is quite limited too (compared to more popular products
like Mantis or Bugzilla). Mantis was my favourite one but it's badly
coded and failed once loosing all my tickets! So CureCode will gave
me a lightweight Mantis-like solution for all our bugtracking needs.

4) I want to be able to build such kind of web application in just
a few days. So I need to study each steps of the full creation process
to see how some parts could be automated by a smart framework.

hum curecode is a ticket tracker ? like rambo but done with cheyenne
that's right ?
Pekr:
5-Jan-2009
Several questions:

- what is meant by Severity field of values - text, block, feature?
I do understand major, minor, trivial, etc., but not those mentioned
...

- for better searches, I would expect field 'fields to be filled
in with every field form contains. E.g. I want to filter using 'Built-in

- CureCode, if slightly refined, could serve as auto changelog generation
system. But Carl (or responsible person) would have to fill-in 'built-in
field. In the past, I e.g. proposed addition of small table called
Releases to RAMBO for such purposes. It would contain named releases.
Main base could have small helper, value 'next pre-filling 'buil-tin,
once someone markes it as built. 'next would be related to the closest
relese from the Releases table.
