amacleod 21-Jul-2013 [9577x2] | Very Exciting |
Now needs "common/FPU-configuration.reds"
DocKimbel 21-Jul-2013 [9579] | Ah! I remember this one, let me check where it comes from... |
amacleod 21-Jul-2013 [9580] | Don't look too hard...just playing around here... |
DocKimbel 21-Jul-2013 [9581x2] | I'm multiplexing tasks (as usual). ;-) |
http://red.esperconsultancy.nl/Red-common/dir?ci=tip Direct download: http://red.esperconsultancy.nl/Red-common/zip/Common+Red+Definitions+and+Utilities-51981a6662cdec45.zip?uuid=51981a6662cdec45d0797fddd84945f4029e9637
amacleod 21-Jul-2013 [9583] | Compiled! Great, Thanks |
DocKimbel 21-Jul-2013 [9584] | If you need the GTK DLLs, you can get them from there: http://red.esperconsultancy.nl/Red-test/zip/Red%28System%29+Testing-6a2f49701652c61f.zip?uuid=6a2f49701652c61f108f0f9259827b38d35f6dda |
Arnold 21-Jul-2013 [9585] | The needed files can be found in directories like http://red.esperconsultancy.nl/Red-GTK/timeline http://red.esperconsultancy.nl/Red-common/timeline http://red.esperconsultancy.nl/Red-C-library/timeline http://red.esperconsultancy.nl/Red-GLib/timeline Atm I do not have an exhaustive overview of these, unfortunately the directory listing is not available to the general public. What file is linking to GLib.reds? |
DocKimbel 21-Jul-2013 [9586] | Arnold, it is possible to extract such list from this script: http://red.esperconsultancy.nl/Red-test/artifact/9aa61f0739992c5f6374f25cbc390dac9e34bcd2 |
Arnold 21-Jul-2013 [9587] | Oh already answered question, that explains why I had to restart AltME. Sorry. |
amacleod 21-Jul-2013 [9588] | Arnold, wha about the webkitgtk dll? |
Arnold 21-Jul-2013 [9589x2] | @Doc, Ah yes indeed the download.r script! I need to try to get that working here together with fossil. @amacleod, your question has been answered to your satisfaction regarding 10:33. My previous answer was my try to give some extra info on the whereabouts of the files that Kaj provided,as he has been away for an hour or so. At 10:50 I had not received the posts from 10:05 and later. |
directories under red.esperconsultancy.nl are according to the script download.r: test common C-library cURL ZeroMQ-binding REBOL-3 Java SQLite SDL OpenGL GLib GTK GTK-WebKit OSM-GPS-Map GTK-Champlain 6502 I copied my list from my browser address field history. Should have noticed GLib (first I had tried GLIB and found nothing) was the one you asked for.
Kaj 21-Jul-2013 [9591x4] | People, no need to do all that manually. Just run the download.r with Fossil installed |
Also, there are already single binaries with all my bindings included for the Red interpreter console:
http://red.esperconsultancy.nl/Red-test/dir?ci=tip
Well, most bindings. WebKit and such are too non-standard to include
Pekr 23-Jul-2013 [9595] | Kaj, I already several times tried to look for something, not being succesfull. I always need to look up for certain link. Why your main domain - http://red.esperconsultancy.nl/, displays just "not found"? Imo there should be some central page, displaying the list of your projects .... would really simplify the move between fossil mess ... |
Arnold 23-Jul-2013 [9596x5] | I managed to get the fossildownload from the download.r script running, unfortunately everything ended in the downloads folder where the script was still placed. I reran the script from the folder I wanted the repositories to land. I copied the terminal information output to a text document for there are several passwords created for the repos and I had not yet time to store them properly.. |
No I have all the files from the Red.esperconsultancy.nl site complete locally.
No need to look the links up over and over again.
The domain is owned by Bas. Think it is company policy. To keep the links from search engines etc.
Whenever asked for the correct link, Kaj provides it. Or a volunteer like me posts a reminder. :-)
Pekr 23-Jul-2013 [9601] | How does anyone know, there is a download script? |
Arnold 23-Jul-2013 [9602] | You follow the news here do you? It has been mentioned several times. I look up the time of the post. |
Pekr 23-Jul-2013 [9603] | It is that ppl outside of here can't know ... Well, many ppl will go via offical website and its contributions section. Maybe the script could be mentioned there, dunno. OTOH most of the bindings are listed there, so maybe there's no need to do so ... |
Arnold 23-Jul-2013 [9604x3] | Ok Pekr look back between Sun 10:52 PM by Doc and Mon 12:26 AM by Kaj |
Not only a link but also a short help doc howto would be welcome.
I want to dedicate a video to it in the near future.
Kaj 23-Jul-2013 [9607x2] | Petr, I've published the existence of the download script here many, many times |
I've also explained a number of times that I will make a central website for Red, but that I have been too busy so far with doing actual Red work
Oldes 23-Jul-2013 [9609] | the download script has one big issue - it requires to install Fossil. |
Kaj 23-Jul-2013 [9610x3] | In the meantime, you have websites for each project |
Oldes, if you consider that a big issue, there's not much I can do about it right now. In my view, it's a small requirement
You also have to install REBOL for it. Do you also find that a big issue?
Oldes 23-Jul-2013 [9613] | I believe it would not be difficult to write a script, which would download your sources without Fossil, but it's not my priority... just wanted to note, that there are people who don't want to install Fossil. |
Kaj 23-Jul-2013 [9614] | I know that. And they should know that I have no time to cater for them now |
Oldes 23-Jul-2013 [9615] | I don't need to install REBOL, I'm using REBOL many years already and for many purposes every day, I'm sure I would not use Fossil for anything else than just download your scripts. |
Kaj 23-Jul-2013 [9616x3] | If you want to contribute a download script without Fossil, please do |
Aha, I already have Fossil installed and use it for many purposes. So the Fossil dependency is very much like the REBOL dependency
I also want to get rid of the REBOL dependency, because there are new Red users who don't have REBOL installed. Same thing, but currently I have to use REBOL for the script
Oldes 23-Jul-2013 [9619] | I know, but you are the only one I know. I was already thinking if you would have a problem if someone would mirror your files on Github, wouldn't you? |
Kaj 23-Jul-2013 [9620x2] | I wouldn't like it, but I open-sourced it, so you're free to do that |
How many people do you know who use Red? Do you also think that's a reason to reject it?
Oldes 23-Jul-2013 [9622] | Take it easy, I have no problem with your Fossil usage.. I just wanted to tell you, that someone else may find it not so friendly. Off topic btw. |
Kaj 23-Jul-2013 [9623x2] | I wish it would be enough to state my position once. I know how others think about it. I'm making improvements all the time, but I haven't had time for a central website yet. Is that so hard to accept? |
Half a year ago people complained about the Fossil websites, so I developed the download script for them. That will have to do for now. I'm sure that when I make the website, people will want something else again
Rebolek 23-Jul-2013 [9625] | I think that people will stop complaining when everything Fossil-related is gone (extremly confusing website, dependency, ...). |
Kaj 23-Jul-2013 [9626] | Exactly, and that's not going to happen. I develop in Fossil, so that's the source of things |
