That is what this is already, no need for a rename.

I just realized this group i s web-public and that means the links 
are now public.  Did we want that to happen?

but to retrieve the usefulls links we need a better place

Keep the name of this group DevCon2008, to be consistent with the 
other DevCon groups.

When the day comes of the dev con itself, we might make a bunch of 
Rooms here so we all have a place to talk.

If we are willing to pay we can use the Adobe service as well. This 
worked but I couldn't get the spund to my headset, if I recall (the 
brief period before my ADSL went down) it was only 3 at a time. I 
think they have a pay-as-you-go. The money would be like the virtual 
conference fee.

I can see two other people on Qtask right now from New Zealand (for 
the record).

No one else is complainng to me so far (meaning, they might be having 
trouble, just have not said anything to me).

I just bounded a bunch of pings around the world, they all work.
Also just tested Sprint's network to it, they work too.

In fact, they are all singing along.

So yes, very odd.  However, may I suggest, clear you cache?

let me restart FF ... I think it's 3.0 is flaky

Why does Altme invoke FF when Chrome is my default browser?

Well it is more like [AltME]->[OS]->[Chrome] right?

So isn't the question, why does your OS still tell AltME about FF 
(which used to be IE when you first got it)?

Perhaps it is [AltME]->[REBOL]->[OS]->[Chrome]

Is it possible that you changed the default after the system was 
running, and AltmME (and therefor REBOL) don't know about the change 
yet?

Graham, I remember such a problem. Did you check the filetypes in 
explorer?

Graham, what happens if you in Windows start a cmd and type:
start http://www.rebol.com

(I can't remember, where the problem is, so I'm just giving ideas.)

filetypes are okay.

start rebol.com invokes chrome.

In REBOL console, what does this show?

Did you reboot your computer since you changed default browser?
