Anyone organising a little tour? just a few cars, tagging along in 
paris either on wednesday or during the week-end after...

At this time, and I far as I know, there should be live video feed 
of the sessions available on the Net.

Th URL will probably be disclosed on the Devcon Website the thursday 
morning. And of course, on Altme.

I guess there will be also video recording, but can't say for sure.

That's good, because I don't make it this year :-(. I have a very 
important meeting on Firday.

some easy marketing: why are the devcon 2005 videos not on youtube 
or google video?

actually i've been thinking of uploading them.

i need to find some time and look at what i need to do (eg encoding) 
to put them there.

I think you just upload them, and they take care of the rest.

YouTube I know you just upload.  No need to worry about encoding 
there

i'll have to do it... hopefully soon.

just upload - that is not really correct, as video length is limited 
to just a few minutes.

so, i'll have to split the videos up, which may mean reencoding them.

Gabriele, I don't know how people do it, but I've seen videos at 
about 2 hours on youtube.

Your video is limited to 10 minutes and 100 MB. For more details

that could be it. if the videos are squeezed under that, they might 
fit.

maybe you need special permissions to upload more... like if you 
are a very active user or post very good videos they reward you with 
more time.

Do they have pay accounts, like Flickr, that let you do more?

I remember reading on an Amiga gaming site that you can uplaod large 
files but need to go thru a process with youtube first and then all 
is good

ok, so quick poll. what do you want me to do? 1) split videos and 
upload to youtube, 2) upload to google video, 3) something else

All YouTube material shows up on Google Video too, so uploading stuff 
to YouTube should suffice

some guys are already in France :-) IIRC Rebolek and Cyphre travelled 
on Saturday already ...

maybe Carl is too, as there are no further pre-conference blogs,

I am now in Frankfurt, and will be in Paris in a few hours. (It has 
been a long trip - 18hrs.)

Nothing more to blog about at this time.  All my energy has gone 
into the talks.

Talk #2, is going to be very intense. Not sure how it will be possible 
to cover so much information in so little time. ;)
