movement doesn't look as good

i tried lowering the frame rate too. but it doesn't help.

eats about 5% less cpu than h.264 on my mini

i think 264 is much less sensitive to packet loss.

yes, I noticed no dropouts in h.264. I have seen 2-3 dropouts in 
h.261 so far

now the question is: is it worth to ask people to download QT 7?

funny that QT7 can't measure the bandwidth on h.264, only on 261

keep in mind that i will still record everything on tape and encode 
that later (maybe mpeg4, 2-pass encoding)

so this is only for the live stream.

i think the result would be much better with a server here in europe.

it probably goes through many nodes... sometimes you get a good connection, 
other times bad.

i have QT7 open here too. the delay is 20 seconds or so.

try to restart it. should be on TCP now. more delay maybe but theoretically 
no packet loss.
