I just fear one thing - we heard lot's of nice announcements last 
year - Rebservices, BCD, rebin, RIF, language plug-ins, etc etc. 
None of them actually happened (public release). So now I wonder, 
if there is actually anything concrete in the pipeline this time. 
You know - it is nice to say, that next year we will see Rebol to 
spread x-fold, but such claim has to be supported by some conrete 
plan ...

async, vid or gui, multitasking (if ever) etc...

the way I see..pieces are fallig in place..

IMHO, it really comes down to just producing things. Make cool, useful 
apps and the programmers will come.

GUI will continue to evolve (VID or not )...this is mention in the 
key note..and I think Reb-GUI is supporting it in that direction 
somehow

Konfab is one area that Rebol is well suited to 'replace' or at least 
showcase as an alternative technology platform

R, that's right. There was a time when Commodore was thinking about 
porting Lotus 123. Personally, I think that strategy would have been 
good.

i think R/T need's a change of context, the actual time and development 
costs coud be reduced by some open code strategy  just an idea ...

R There are several people here working with Rebol.   The team is 
growing, but specifics are not clear yet.

My company uses C#, C++ and VB. Nothing "open" And they are taught 
that popular means good.
