Gabriele

looks fine. I won't be doing more work today on it, but I might make
a new frame that fits a little better into the presentation layout.

I am thinking of doing my presentation in Breeze (video/audio prefab
over the web with chatbox etc.) Liitle less fun for the people in
the room but a lot more fun for everbody who is not coming. If I
do that, who would be happy?

there

But if more users want to view I'll just do a pay per use session
(where I pay)

website for devcon (and mirror at dobeash) seems to be down!
http://breeze62116255.emea.breezecentral.com/devcon2005/a first
try on my first two slides. I will schedule a public meeting at 2pm
on Thursday (speaking time), where I will start the presentation
and up to 5 users can join. It might be handy to open a free 15-day
Breeze trial account on Macromedia if you want to add voice (e.g.
audio conference)
Why this way? If this works we might be able to set up a more frequent
virtaul meeting/conference.

re: websites down. I think the culprit in both cases is Chris's site
(http://www.ross-gill.com/) where the CSS files reside.
Maarten

Why not cache that locally then?

not trying to read too much into signs awailable - but Heather Arrington
of Vital Needs is removed from the conference schedule and all REBOL
related info from their website vanished, while just few months ago
they praised REBOL as an enabling technology in various documents
on their website ... strange ...

Erk, Did not have time !!
I think it's too short to use it. It seems to need practice.
Chat window is ridiculous.

It's there a whay to see the conference from internet ? will there
be a live chat ? i would REALLY like that.
BTW breeze seems the perfect tool but its expensive too

We need a Breeze implemented in REBOL
Henrik

not too impressive, me thinks
except for sound and camera, this could be done easily in REBOL
Kaj

[1100x2]
But that's the point, we need sound and camera, and better platform
integration
We have this great environment in which we can do anything, but trying
to go outside we run into walls

rebol Plugin could work for this but again there's the plaform issue,
i thing this filed its outside rebol capabilities interaction w/hardware
sounds a bit crazy in reb-world.
Breeze, to much noise to few nutts, again the tool looks graphicaly
impressive, how much is this customisable and the costs of the service
leave out too many cuestions to me. im thinkig macromedia products
are not what they where a couple of years ago, now its more like
a bloat.

I know there are problems with the plugin regarding multiple instances
or refreshes... but Breeze didn't load on my unaltered installation
of Firefox either. Also, being a hockey fan I check www.nhl.com
fairly regularly, but must switch to IE cause the menu system doesn't
work outside of IE. Is this the web-developers fault or just the
web in general? Too fragmanted with too many people with their own
agendas!
I like the Webservices smart client world best and if Rebol can make
a multiple platform impact here, we have our killer application/framework.
