Our provider went belly up, and I'm now rewriting our site in REBOL:

The time has arrived! We have released Syllable Server

It's a development release. A lot of work remains to be done in the 
time to come, but I made sure it's usable for several things already

It doesn't have the Syllable graphical environment yet, but it can 
run graphical SDL and DirectFB programs

That includes emulators. QEmu is included, so you can run many other 
operating systems on Server, including itself

The system is very small, so it's suitable both as a virtualisation 
host and as a virtualisation guest

Both REBOL/Core and ORCA are included

When is the GUI due ?

I'm going to pull an R3 on you and say When It's Ready :-)

The first phase, building the base Linux, was mine. Now it's up to 
our project leader to port the Syllable stuff. I think I'm going 
to push him like we push Carl. :-) Actually, I'm hoping he will feel 
the pressure from people like you asking for it :-)

yeah .. some of us are too old to remember command line arguments 
and tool usage

I'm actually forced to learn Linux now ;-)

I'm fairly sure I'm the first person in the world to build a Linux 
without caring much for it :-)

Yeah, but that belongs in a somewhat long-term grand plan to design 
our documentation framework

I've actually had a REBOL HTML generator for years, I just need to 
wrap it up and it wasn't worth postponing Server for

reading txt files in a browser is very tricky

understanding Brenno de Winter's article is even harder

It can easily be downloaded into a line-wrapping viewer

That's a problem of a different order: learn Dutch :-)

Anyway, I'vejust replaced our website with my own REBOL content management 
system, so the documentation plan has been set in motion

I'd consider using it as a virtualisation platform, but I guess I'd 
wait till a GUI was wrapped around at least the installation

Yeah, I'm looking at VNC and stuff like that for the next round

QEmu has a built-in VNC server, so if you run virtualised systems 
on Server, you should be able to VNC into them; but I haven't tried 
it yet

There's also VNC support in the DirectFB video subsystem, so that 
we be another level to integrate at, but I have to build it in first

make sure that you have an image that can run on S3 :)
