I ordered an Ozone generator today called an aranizer

I hope to eliminate some black toxic mold I found in my basement 
of which I think I'm suffering some symtoms from

They say ozone can be bad for you but this company claims it can 
run 24 hours a day and not produce bad effects

it doesn't produce nitrogen oxides

EVERYTHING is bad for you in one way or another...

This is supposed to be the best treatment for keeping stuff fresh

Black Toxic Mold is *really* bad for you though.

I'm a bit skeptical of the "it wont hurt you" claims.

Yeah I think my dizziness and nasal polyp along with maxillary sinus 
fill is from it

I already ordered these littler air purifiers that produce some ozone 
but mostly negative ions and found they might do more harm than good

I had a pool put in over the summer and early fall and when finished 
the yard had straw everywhere, the water leaked in thru a basement 
wall and saturataed the carpet

had been doing it for awhile as I couldn't find out how the water 
was getting in

then i decided to soak up the water with a wet vac and think I got 
most of my exposure then

Later after having the symptoms I decided to cut the carpet out and 
remove it and then I found patches of black mold

I figure its in the heating system

I'm afraid alittle ozone maker isn't going to do much, though I haven't 
studied them and their effect on mold.

We had to do attack the mold in our last apartment repeatedly over 
the course of several months. Nothing we had would keep it away for 
long, so we just sort of wore it down to something that was easy 
to clean

I just purchased an aranizer today for $660 the SS10 model

We thought we might have some (didn't thankfully), but our insurance 
guy said that if we made a claim on it, to expect them to drop us.

It could be under the caulking in your tub, under contact paper in 
the cupboards (if you have it), or pretty much anywhere else it likes

It can be everywhere. Do you have sheetrocked walls down there, or 
just concrete?

What is the good that ozone is supposed to do for you?

Yup. Water and moisture is all it needs. Have you done much research 
on it (the mold)?

Yeah alot

I had the perfect effects for it

I got a clothes dryer, shower, and central heating unit in the basement 
and the dryer vents into a box of water (scrubber)

Water and moisture are hard to avoid in Seattle, that's for sure.

The wet carpet and drywall is ideal for black toxic mold

I hope the ozone works for you, but I imagine you'll need some industrial 
kind of cleanup to get rid of it.

I need to fix that but the dryer is located under the stairs

My wife started complaining of the mold smell first

it would hit you when you went through the front door

I was just bothered with the contractors and figured I would deal 
with it all at the end

but that was too late
