[unknown: 5] 29-Dec-2004 [101x8] | ionizers just knock the spores to the ground or make them cling to walls |
HEPA filters make breading ground for bacteria
UV is too ineffective due to the airflow velocity
Although I think a good HEPA and Ozone solution is a good mix overall
the small ionic purifiers I bought I will most likely get rid of
they produce ozone but probably dangerious ozone with nitrogen oxides
Good site with alot of good info - > http://www.doctorfungus.org/index.htm
BTW - a high powered Ozone Generator is considered a biocide device
Maxim 29-Dec-2004 [109x2] | I know someone who had a water issue on their cement, and when they started asking around about the white mold which was appearing on the surface, they where told to leave the house and call a professional cleaner... it turns out, killing the mold was easy, but when dying, they released spores which are extremely dangerous and can suffocate a majority of people before you have time to get to the hospital... :-( |
it took 2 weeks before they where allowed to go back to their house, after the cleaners came... they where also told that spores where starting to erupt so within a few days, they would have started to get really sick, just by the natural air traffic....
BrianW 29-Dec-2004 [111] | Nasty stuff. |
Maxim 29-Dec-2004 [112] | yep... then again, I'm shure you always a tingling fealing of "getting ripped off" .... wondering if the cleaners are just doing scare tactics... but I guess you're better safe than sorry... |
[unknown: 5] 29-Dec-2004 [113x2] | No there is some nasty stuff out there |
I found a website of a doctor and can't believe all his symtoms are true but its amazing - let me find the link real quick
Maxim 29-Dec-2004 [115] | the issue which was scarry, is that the source of the mold is unknown... it was just a flood in the basement, like it had happened several times before... |
[unknown: 5] 29-Dec-2004 [116x2] | http://stachy.5u.com/ |
Read that guys site on the left under his symtoms
Maxim 29-Dec-2004 [118] | and THAT time, they where living in a gigantic , human "fly trap"... |
[unknown: 5] 29-Dec-2004 [119] | My house had several flood in the basement before on this low nead carpet mostly from sewer backups |
Alan 29-Dec-2004 [120] | I have all the Rebol related rebol2 groups saved as a zip for whoever wants and can alos do the same for rebol1 world.Let me know and will put up on the web |
[unknown: 5] 29-Dec-2004 [121] | Would be nice to integrate the output of the altme world with a full blown webbased forum |
Ammon 29-Dec-2004 [122x2] | It's a simple REBOL script. Believe me, if I had time then I would do it. |
Reichart has already invited us to do this...
[unknown: 5] 29-Dec-2004 [124] | Would be cool to have a way to respond from the forum right back into the Altme world as the user in the ALTME world |
Ammon 29-Dec-2004 [125] | If someone does choose to do it then i would recomend working with Sunanda with it and get up on REBOL.org... |
[unknown: 5] 29-Dec-2004 [126x2] | Good idea |
Yeah that way the communication is covered
Ammon 29-Dec-2004 [128x2] | Reichart said that if you were smart that could be done but I'm not sure just how you would approach that one... |
That being posting to an AltME world from a web forum.
[unknown: 5] 29-Dec-2004 [130x2] | yeah |
Well, I suppose since ALTME is encrypted they would have to release the encryption specifics so it may never be done
Alan 30-Dec-2004 [132] | ok all the real Rebol related messages from rebol2 are @ http://home.comcast.net/~arebol/rebol2.zip |
BrianW 30-Dec-2004 [133] | Is there a Rebol-mode for Emacs? |
yeksoon 30-Dec-2004 [134x2] | http://www.rebol.com/tools/rebol.el |
is that what you are looking for?
BrianW 30-Dec-2004 [136] | ah yes, thanks |
Brock 30-Dec-2004 [137x2] | Still the best kept secret :) / :( |
http://www.developer.com/net/net/article.php/3448451
BrianW 30-Dec-2004 [139] | Well, if folks are going to be paying attention to that, then I might as well seed my site. "Lies, damn lies, and statistics" I'm telling ya. |
eFishAnt 30-Dec-2004 [140] | Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull: "Popularity and intelligence have never been easy bedfellows" |
BrianW 30-Dec-2004 [141] | Ooh, that's a good one too :-) |
eFishAnt 30-Dec-2004 [142x2] | Being in the top .1% in computing intelligence, us REBOLers should not care a twit for the rest of the poor developers who don't stand a chance to compete. |
The rest have a future of telephone soliciting to look forward to.
BrianW 30-Dec-2004 [144x2] | The only statistic I have to gauge things by is hits on my Web site. The Rebol pages are getting more unique visitors than my Ruby pages right now. |
... or telephone sanitation, even.
eFishAnt 30-Dec-2004 [146] | know how to catch a unique visitor? |
BrianW 30-Dec-2004 [147] | With honey? |
eFishAnt 30-Dec-2004 [148] | unique up on him. |
BrianW 30-Dec-2004 [149] | oy, that's pretty bad. Nice work :-) |
Sunanda 30-Dec-2004 [150] | Those unique visitors might just be all of us, checking up on you :-) |
