NickA 22-Jan-2013 [1281] | Thanks Scot - I'm putting together a presentation to introduce this text, so that would be really helpful! |
Scot 22-Jan-2013 [1282x4] | Developed some visuals. Published to Files / Docs / Images |
EPS and PNG format for whatever you need.
They are very rough. Feel free to redo or edit.
EPS didn't export properly...how can they be removed from the server?
Kaj 22-Jan-2013 [1286] | You can only overwrite them |
Arnold 22-Jan-2013 [1287] | no rebol.informe.com/portal here either. |
Bo 23-Jan-2013 [1288] | Great job, Kaj, on the GTK+ bindings! |
Arnold 23-Jan-2013 [1289] | Is it possible to provide an overview of all the Red information on the various links on http://red.esperconsultancy.nl/? (do not follow this link it will only show you "Not Found") Are all the links independent Fossil files? |
Kaj 23-Jan-2013 [1290x5] | Yes, all independent Fossil repositories |
The listing on the Red site is incomplete:
http://www.red-lang.org/p/contributions_20.html
The new download.r script in the test repository is meant to provide a complete listing:
http://red.esperconsultancy.nl/Red-test/dir?ci=tip
GrahamC 23-Jan-2013 [1295x2] | Most of the older sites seem to be not actively maintained ... it's a huge task to keep things ticking over for 15 years or whatever. |
Reboler.com seems good .. easier to type than the other.
Gregg 23-Jan-2013 [1297] | Florin, check with MaxV as he has created some nice resources. |
MaxV 24-Jan-2013 [1298x2] | Yes, look here http://rebol.informe.com/portal.htmland here http://rebol2.blogspot.com |
and also this http://www.maxvessi.net/rebsite/wr/
Arnold 24-Jan-2013 [1300] | registered on rebol.informe.com/portal ; it is active! |
Florin 24-Jan-2013 [1301] | thanks |
MaxV 24-Jan-2013 [1302] | Yes, now I started to setting all, but now it should works well. Let me know, my email is: [maxint-:-tiscali-:-it] |
sqlab 24-Jan-2013 [1303] | I can acces it now |
DideC 24-Jan-2013 [1304x2] | MaxV: In http://www.maxvessi.net/rebsite/wr/the "Rebol3 Source" link give a 404 on Github. r3-source must be "r3" only at the end. |
Aand "Rebol.Wik.Is" does not seem to be what we expect it to be!
MaxV 24-Jan-2013 [1306] | Ok, corrected |
Alan 24-Jan-2013 [1307] | portal.html works here using Opera |
MaxV 25-Jan-2013 [1308] | On Rebol.net I read about http://www.rebol.net/wiki: REBOL DocBase (old Wiki), so people are discouraged to use it. |
Ladislav 25-Jan-2013 [1309] | yes, I do not know why Carl wrote that and was unpleasantly surprised when he did |
GiuseppeC 25-Jan-2013 [1310] | Massimiliano, does your wiki support different translations of the same page ? |
GrahamC 27-Jan-2013 [1311] | @Robert, is https now working on r3/Droid ? |
Cyphre 27-Jan-2013 [1312] | yes, it works in the newly annoounced release |
GrahamC 27-Jan-2013 [1313] | Great |
MaxV 28-Jan-2013 [1314] | @Giuseppe,: No, wiki software is mediawiki, to have a good support multilanguage you have to install a mediawiki for every language. I just adopted http://www.informe.comfree solution ready to use; and I haven't many option as superuser. However creating and importing pages is easy. If you have already a wiki, export pages in a XML file, and I'll import the pages. |
DocKimbel 30-Jan-2013 [1315] | Nice work Kaj! |
Andreas 30-Jan-2013 [1316] | screenshots :) ? |
GrahamC 30-Jan-2013 [1317] | Might have to watch the video ! |
Kaj 30-Jan-2013 [1318x2] | Nope. I'll provide binaries later, so you can run it even easier |
The text editor is new. I wanted to attempt it for the conference, but ran out of time
Bo 30-Jan-2013 [1320] | If I wanted to run Red on my Windows-based computer, what would be the process to do it? Do I download the Red sources from Github and compile it on my computer? If so, are there instructions on how to do it with a free compiler? |
Kaj 30-Jan-2013 [1321] | A free compiler? Red and Red/System are the free compilers |
GrahamC 30-Jan-2013 [1322] | Bo, Rebol2 is used to create the Red/system binaries |
Kaj 30-Jan-2013 [1323x7] | You can run Red as an interpreter, although that's still limited, from here, in MSDOS/Red/console: |
The example programs are also in there, compiled and ready to run. For the console-pro, you need the libraries in the RedSystem folder
http://red.esperconsultancy.nl/Red-test/dir?ci=tip&name=MSDOS
Instructions are here:
http://web.syllable.org/news/2012-11-18-20-47-Red-high-level-programming-language-first-alpha.html
If you want to run the compilers, just follow the official documentation:
https://github.com/dockimbel/Red
Bo 30-Jan-2013 [1330] | Thanks for the info. |
