Core, Command, Express, and View

 [1/5] from: louisaturk::coxinet::net at: 15-Mar-2001 22:22

Hi everyone, Do Command and View have all of the features of Core plus some, or are they totally different products? If I have view installed, can I run all the Core scripts? or must I also install Core? Louis

they totally different products? If I have view installed, can I run all the Core scripts? or must I also install Core? Ideally, Command and View can run all Core scripts. With the different versions of Rebol, due to the fact that: Command < View < Core < Express where "<" is read as "older than", this isn't necessarily so. Some Core scripts use features that are buggy on older Rebol versions. It would be really good if Rebol HQ updated all versions of Rebol to the same standard, then this would apply: Core <= View Core <= Command Core <= Express where Core is the "core" of the other three "flavours". Then any of View, Command and Express products would execute any Core script. I hope that helps! Andrew Martin ICQ: 26227169 http://members.nbci.com/AndrewMartin/
