Hi ALL Is anyone in here using QNX who I can talk to? Thanks --Carlos Lorenz

I'd be glad to help, but I know nothing of UNIX nor QNX. I have not been able to get any version of QNX running on my Pentium 4 Gateway Performance Deluxe 500. Perhaps the error message's "file" is a clue? OTOH, as far as I know, Unix/Qnx may treat a port the same as a file? Again, you can find QNX newsgroups listed by visiting http://get.qnx.com From what I've read at one of those newsgroups, novices get a lot of help from a few engineers at QNX. I have no knowledge about UNIX platform but found QNX interface really neat. Now I want to setup my modem that in Windows is at port 4. Whenever I enter QNX dialer and try to alter /dev/ser1 to /dev/ser4 it tells me this file does not exist. Do you mind helping me? Thanks --Carlos PS: can you suggest any good novice mailing list or newsgroup a may subscribe? At 16:50 05/12/00 +1300, you wrote:
