thanks I use http://www.cottonwoodsw.com/fx95summ.html [Win95/98 only, but NT/2000 in the works] On Mac I used something similar but can't remember its name. indispensible..imo These context-oriented tools avoid endless upstairs-downstairs repeated nonsense when navigating file open/save/browse directories. File-Ex is very smart, learning custom settings for each application and remembering a big list: recent files, recent folders, favorite files, favorite folders etc. These *simple* tricks should be default by now, built into EVERY OS. When I get round to it, I will try to implement the same features into an improved REBOL request-file. ./Jason
