[REBOL] string - A small interactive graphical simulation with source
From: gerardcote:sympatico:ca at: 15-Jul-2002 0:24
Hello REBOLers,
While sniffing recently on the IOS conference groups, I found a link to the Dr. Dobbs
Journal Alt Language comparison article and
from this point Robert Muench (If I recall well) referenced and suggested a marvelous
small and fast Open Source Graphical Library
(Tiny PTC from gaffer.org) as an alternative (or add-on) to circumvent the actual slowness
of the REBOL/View graphics engine for
some tasks.
So I jumped in and followed this small but interesting link http://www.gaffer.org/tiny3d/string.html
about an interactive string
simulation - all with the source given at http://www.gaffer.org/tiny3d/.
So I asked myself how in REBOL/VIEW I could create something similar. But for now I am
not good enough at using VIEW or the VID
dialect for this kind of stuff.
May be this can interest some other VID/VIEW GURU so I pass it to all of you for playing
with and having fun ... demonstrating how
real life can be model-maked ...
Regards,
Gerard
