i think so. all needed is like
if error? Try[
the-date: to date! :value]
][the-date: some-dummi-date]
as long as the date is not really needed.
But thats then somewhere in ftp-protokoll,
where rebol should fix it themself.
Except they think dummi-dates will cause
problems of course.
