Black Hawk Download: Pirated Videos Thrive Online
The high-tech vanguard of entertainment consumers who initiated a global
music-swapping spree with the help of Napster a little over two years ago is
branching out into television shows and movies. Napster's service was
limited to music, and it was shut down last year after a federal judge found
it liable for contributing to copyright infringement. But Morpheus enables
users to trade files of any kind, and an increasing number of them are
filled with copyrighted video entertainment.
REBOL and Morpheus Join Forces
To create the largest programmable content network.
California, USA - October 31, 2001 - REBOL Technologies and StreamCast
Networks (formerly MusicCity.com) today announced a partnership to create
the world's largest peer-to-peer X Internet content network. StreamCast,
makers of Morpheus and next generation peer-to-peer content distribution
networks, will base Morpheus 2.0 on REBOL's X Internet operating system
(IOS) technology to provide interactive programmable content to more than 30
million users by the end of the year.
