I never made tests about memory needs. But if you want to use images,
consider to use the smallest to limit the memory use. It's common sense.

The standard way is the way explained in the Rebol/View docs with
stylesheets : define your own standard stylesheets and customize its
like explained in the docs. About a skin creator, the best way, I think,
is to customize and make more powerful the "effect lab" you can find in
the REBOL.com Demos. You can find an how-to about skin making in the
Rebol/View docs with stylesheets. If these docs are not sufficient, have
a look to WinSkins from DocKimbel or my skins demo in my reb sit
("Etienne" reb site).
