[ALLY] MAGICAL view/swis!!! Re:(2)

From: cyphre:volny:cz at: 8-Oct-2000 13:16

Hello Carl and all on the list, Thanks for all comments and suggestions regarding SWIS ;) I have many others "interesting" ideas in my brain but since I cannot find any job as a IT/REBOL programmer in my country I have to make stupid commercials in one small local TV station which steals a lot of my time. :((( The SWIS was my second attemp to write something in REBOL/view. The first core-version of SWIS I did in 4 hours and it has less than 3Kb of code. Nevertheless I still continue to work on my plans in REBOL , REBOL/view which is the greatest language I have ever known. Thanks for it Cyphre [cyphre--volny--cz] P.S. I have just found some differences in behaving SWIS on Amiga and on PC and I think there are some problems in REBOL/view -WIN98/NT version. 1) try to open "Welcome" button in SWIS-this will open a window with gradient effect. Move it behind the right and the left border of main REBOL/view win OS window. When the SWIS window reaches the left border and get out of the "screen" the gradient effect is gone?!?! On amiga version there is no problem with that. 2)another "feature" of REBOL/view on Windows98/NT is when you drag the SWIS window and move it/resize it moving the mouse out of the WIN98/NT window the reading of mouse position will react even when the mouse is out of the REBOL/view vindow which allow to drag/resize any window/face out of the REBOL/view window. On Amiga version of View when the mouse left the Workbench window it will stop the reading mouse coords(which I mean is the right function). If you find these or another differences on other platforms please write it to me or to RT feedback. Cyphre [cyphre--volny--cz]
