I don't think so. If you're talking about Lisp and derivatives,
then you could be able to match most of REBOL. But the rest, it's
like comparing apples to oranges. It's like saying that a Fiat 500
is basically the same thing as an intergalactic cruiser ---
they're both vehicles.

I use REBOL to write applications. They are used by people. Doing
them in Java or C++ would require about 10x the time, the code
would probably be 10x bigger, with 10x bugs and so on.
