 [1/6] from: petr::krenzelok::trz::cz at: 20-Mar-2007 15:55

Hi, does anyone remember advanced rebol console demo? Was it from Bo? I can't find it anywhere ... it was some kind of animation .... Thanks, Petr

There was a Star Wars ascii movie displayed using Allen Kamp's ascii functions, I think. Anton.

I found it, but it does not seem to work anymore. It was from Bo, it was called Greetings, which run text-gui.r. But it only shows cursor, nothing more, even with older Core I have .... -pekr-

I guess it needs some debugging :) Did you need it for something ? Anton.

yes, because Bobik was a bit provoking me, writing some Python vs Rebol comparison serial, and stating that Rebol console is weak, as it can't even properly resize (try resizing, you have to press enter to get refresh). And my opinion is, that there are more important things - that Rebol console is simply a rebol port in system structure, and that it has some pretty advanced operations. If I was about to mention some defficiencies, I would surely mention inability to move by words, hilite text by keyboard. But we will fix that once console is free with R3, right? :-) Petr
