[ALLY] Zoom In

 [1/2] from: chris::ross-gill::com at: 24-Apr-2001 11:13

Hi Allies, I had an idea I wanted to try out for a project and was amazed when I actually got it to work :o) It's a video-style zoom-in technique using 'crop and 'fit. If anyone has any suggestions as to refining it... Is there any way of achieving the same results with 'view instead of 'view/new ? do http://www.ross-gill.com/zoom-img.r or on the REB in the 'Chris RG' folder. - Chris

Nice effect, and gives me an idea... :) The answer is Yes, check out the animations on the reb (Desktop/Rebol.com/Sites/Anton) http://users.bigpond.net.au/datababies/anton/rebol/index.r anim-stars.r is probably the easiest one to start with. Down the bottom there is a minimal layout, and an image with a very basic 'overloaded' engage function. You can put any code you want in there, to be executed at the specified rate (of 40 frames per second). (You should be able to scrap almost all the code before the layout). Anton.
