Protecting scripts from prying eyes?

 [1/2] from: kpeters::otaksoft::com at: 7-Feb-2008 16:16

I am looking for ways to protect scripts from snoopers. I see that encap claims to do so - but is it doing a good job or is it just doing something along the lines of XpackerX or Platypus on OS X? Any other ways? TIA Kai

You could add your own encryption layer I suppose. I haven't heard of anyone cracking an encapped script, probably because it hasn't been worth the effort to try. The docs say it encrypts it, so there is at least some measure of protection beyond being compressed. -- Gregg
