Editors for Rebol

 [1/5] from: al:bri:xtra at: 2-Jun-2002 21:34

SciTE: http://www.scintilla.org/SciTEDownload.html seems to be an interesting editor. Doesn't seem to have a special mode for Rebol language, though. But it does know how to match Rebol's blocks []. Andrew Martin ICQ: 26227169 http://valley.150m.com/

Yes it's nice. Python uses it for several default packages. http://www.scintilla.org/ScintillaRelated.html ./Jason

I've been using TextPad http://www.textpad.com/ , it works well. It doesn't match [] either but it is extremely customizable. I've created a syntax file for it so that it highlights REBOL keywords, strings and operators. Anybody who wants it, is welcome to it. Conversely, if anyone's got a better TextPad syntax file, I'd love to see it. -- Sincerely, | What a piece of work is man! How noble in reason! Ed Dana | How infinite in faculties! It dows too!. Place the cursor on a bracket and press CTRL-M.

I created one too, once. Even submittet it to textpad.com. But then I found out soemone had made make-syntax-file.r, which generates a syntax file even containing your own words, clearly superior to my (very static) syntax definition file. I no longer remember who made it or where it resides, and I didn't find it on escribe. But maybe that someone who made it still reads the list... regards, ~H
