Here's an English translation of %Maoww.txt I'll work on the source to see if I can add a language switch option ./Jason -------------------------------------------------------------------- Project Name: Maoww! Author: Nicolas Fournier email: [qualop--yahoo--com] Jabber: [qualop--jabber--org] Project Description: A basic Jabber client Features: Manage contact list by categories ('Online', 'Off-List' and 'Offline') Send and receive messages (standard or in 'chat' mode) Renaming and deletion of items from the contacts list. Limitations: No "gateway" management Passwords are not encrypted No groups management How to use the program: The program is contained in a single REBOL script (Maoww.r) When it launches, a logni window appears... Users who do not already have a Jabber account, must create one by checking the box ["Create a new account"], after entering the new user name and password. If you have an existing account on a Jabber server, you only need to enter your user name, password, and the name of the server where that account is hosted. Menu Descriptions: Menu Login :Change account Add contact :Add another Jabber user to the contacts list About :Display the version number Quit :Quit the program (no kiding) Menu appearing when clicking on a contact Mailbox :open a window with the messages received by this user Write message :<- Chat :<- Subscribe :Subscribe to the presence of a user 'Off List' Rename :<- Delete :<-

Translation: once i wrote a script which took source and a block ["hello" "hallo" "world" "welt" ..] it then looked for all strings on source and if present, replaced them. strings not found where collected and presented in a text-list. result was an equivalent source with translated text. could try to dig it out. -Volker Am Donnerstag, 22. Yes please! That sounds like a nicer way to do it. ./Jason

I am very interested in your script. If you can find it, I would like to see it. Louis

Hi Volker, You wrote : 8< ------------------------------------------------------------------- Lost it. It would be nice to have all of my current tool set (or most of them) under only one roof : REBOL. My current Harrap's multi-language dictionary is fine to use but sometimes I simply don't have sufficient free memory to load all these voluminous apps. together -- other than REBOL, for sure ;-))) Regards, Gerard

While on the subject, does anyone know of any free english-french dictionaries? I can find lots of online dictionaries, but I want the dictionary stored locally for high speed access. I don't care if I have to write the app to access the data either. Anton.

Sorry Anton, I wasn't able to find a local one for free either. However my Harrap's cost me a mere 37 $CDN ( about 20 $ USD) to buy and works OK for my Win 98 SE. I'd also prefer to get a free one if any such product would become available. Gerard
