Cerebrus report
[1/2] from: louisaturk:coxinet at: 26-Nov-2002 23:48
Hi Rebols,
During the last 14 days Cerebrus caught 239 (out of 242) spam messages of
which 6 contained the Klez worm. A message from my wife was also flagged
as spam, but it contained a forwarded spam message. Much of this spam was
cleverly worded, so that I would have had to read a little of it to know
for sure it was spam. So, Cerebrus saved me a lot of time.
During this time Cerebrus crashed twice. I reported this to Graham, and he
is trying to find out the problem (I think, unless he has become too
addicted to AltME chat to have any time left to work). Except for these
two problems and the little sliding activity window, I would hardly have
known that Cerebrus was running on my computer.
I am using Eudora 5.2.
Very nice and helpful work Graham, and thanks!
Louis

Thanks for the detailed report Louis. This high
percentage capture rate is not what I had expected to
achieve when i started this project, but similar to what I
am achieving. I wondered at the outset whether using my
token database would be that relevant, but as you have
seen, most are trapped well before that is applied.
BTW, You can let mail in from your spouse by adding her to
your allowed from list.

The crash occurs in some VID code so *may* be happening
within the pop up code. I have now error trapped all of
this. Version 1.0.6 which you should have updated to
automatically implements this.
