Quick and HAPPY Steel update.

that's glass... ;-) surprise ... GLASS!!! ------------- An experimental version of glass will be included in the first release of the steel ide editor. Glass is an advanced ui architecture which goes leaps and bounds ahead of vid. It is still built over view with faces, but simply replaces the vid dialect with a vid-inspired, custom dialect and completely distinct layout mechanism. I'm not putting more details, because I do not want to add pressure on myself. There might eventually be more information on the site. STEEL SITE RELEASE!!! -------------- Simply put, life has it that I currently cannot put more than 4 hours a week on my hobbies... to much work around the house before the winter... BUT its rainy today, so I'll release the current site, as it is, later tonight, after work. I have to transfer my modem to my programming computer, so updates will be more painless and thus more frequent, in the future... Two liquid-vid tutorials are ready (yes, with pictures, pekr ;-). These also explain most of what goes on in liquid, so they can also be seen as a preview to liquid's tutorials. There are also many little (and big) fixes in liquid-vid and some in the colorbox demo. LICENSE ----------- The licensing is still the issue. Steel itself, and any standard plugin and code library will be using an osi-approved license with regards to modifications to its code. I just don't have time anymore, to fiddle around with that. The only thing I wish to ensure here is that there is no specific "commercial use" license. I also want to make sure that any contributor, via a plugin or library, is free of any licensing issues, so he can license his own plugins as he sees fit. Well, now that I've commited to the release... I can't sleep until its done ;-) -MAx --- You can either be part of the problem or part of the solution, but in the end, being part of the problem is much more fun.

well, my wife and kids would surely appreciate that some of the time I didn't spend with them working on steel and glass, could be reinvested in amusement park tickets, restaurant, new paint in the kitchen, or something of the like. ;-) -MAx --- You can either be part of the problem or part of the solution, but in the end, being part of the problem is much more fun.
