Double posts.

Hi all, Someone's emailed me saying my responses to the mailing list are duplicated - meaning you're getting them twice. Is that right!? -- Carl Read.

Thanks (everyone (everyone!)) It does seem someone's been getting two, but it's only them for some odd reason. Nothing I can do about it if I'm only sending one... -- Carl Read.

At least, if you send peer-to-peer, it is only one at a time ;-) But i can 'nt do nothing about it either, -i get always 2 of them on ML - but only from you! : maybe, rebol.com knows more? S. On Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 07:01:17AM +1300, Carl Read wrote:

I had to resubscribe, in order to be able to post, right, but it is atmost 2 weeks as i did so; thouse doubles from Carl - and from him only - them i had a long time before. Curiouse, is'nt it? Besides, i receive no posts of mine - for me, it's ok. the others receive (Carl, as i know) theirs; A sort of nonuniform, not? S. On Thu, Nov 29, 2007 at 12:48:51PM -0800, Tom Conlin wrote:

He should get doubled posts from everyone then?? Maybe Carl's email client is setup to send a reply to list and to the author?? On Nov 30, 2007 9:48 AM, Tom Conlin <tomc-cs.uoregon.edu> wrote:

Here's a theory: That you don't get yours but do get two of mine suggests my email address has somehow supplanted yours in one of the mailing-list's lists of email addresses. Is there anyone in charge of it here who can check this theory out? -- Carl Read.

He's using Gmail .. this normally suppresses one's own posts. On Nov 30, 2007 3:50 PM, Carl Read <carl-cybercraft.co.nz> wrote:

I'll go into more detail, There is a quirk to gmail. when you receive your own post, it stays in the sent mails, but when someone else replies to it, then BOTH end up in your inbox.. its actually quite logic. It would be nice to have an option next to a contact to explicitely list an address as a ML so you receive it anyways. -MAx On Nov 29, 2007 10:00 PM, Graham Chiu <compkarori-gmail.com> wrote:

Volks, i think i had these even before i became the gmail account. And you bet, i'll not get this(this) post even when anybody bothers to reply to it. S. On Thu, Nov 29, 2007 at 10:33:31PM -0500, Maxim Olivier-Adlhoch wrote:
