I Wish (actually, I think all of the more advanced rebolers would too)
At least it could make the beta versions move on at an incredibly face pace. of course
RT would have to monitor and keep what they want ...
what about this specific idea:
you have a form for a specific issue that needs resolving.
you type in your code fix, explanantion, some author info and all posts are put online
(JUST LIKE THE TEXT EDITOR POLL)... you can also follow up on the post of another with
better or alternate code (faster/safer).
Then, whenever rebol gets to that issue, it might already have been debated and a working
fix present. the best idea (if several of them exist in the posts) wins and you get
your name in the thank you list of that release.
It also gives rebol a good idea of our involvement, actual useage and is a great measure
of the importance of a specific issue.
the chmod and xml issues of this week, for example, might have received pristine ideas
for RT to think about (if only to collect user points of view on what is best for them!)
quick, easy, gratifying and free.
Wiki anyone?
