[REBOL] Rebol and ImageMagick questions

From: jason::cunliffe::verizon::net at: 23-Feb-2002 4:58

Does anyone have any experience using REBOL/Core and REBOL/View with ImageMagick on Linux? How do you think features and performance compare? A while back I came across a page with tests somebidy did showing examples of ImageMagick compression of JPEGs vs. other tools such as PIL [Python Imaging Library]. ImageMagick was definitely the best quality result. I can't find that test now, and am wondering if thre are any comparatives for REBOL. The ideal thing would be like the superb digital camera reviews at http://www.dpreview.com/ More grenally any tricks for passing data to external scripts, suggestions for writing REBOL wrappers? How can I do this with just Core ? This is for remote server-side automation of tasks and parametrized functions. Lots of hires photo/video images need to be uploaded, then batch processed for a range of image and file sizes in several formats, plus some more fun compositing and effects. thanks any help ./Jason ______________________________________________ Jason Cunliffe [NOMADICS: Director art+design] tel/fax: +1 718 422-1078 [jasonic--nomadics--org] N 43:00.000' W 074:31.875' ALT:1144 ft 84 Henry Street #3C Brooklyn NY 11201 USA
