Hi,
Although I have heard of the forthcoming of the "solid and stable multimedia
OS" for the past three years by many Palm, Microsoft or Psion and even Linux
advocates, I have yet to see a really good handheld OS. However, after
having experiment with PalmOS, EPOC, WindowsCE/PocketPC (we have yet to see
a commercial-released-ie-not-hacked Linux PDA), I can sincerely say that the
latest release of WindowsCE (PocketPC) is probably the best to what you call
solid and stable multimedia
... + it run Rebol/Core
What is the now : the now is you can run Rebol/Core on WindowsCE !
What is the possible future : you may run Rebol on PalmOS running a BeOS
variant !
What I think rebolers should look forward : eZaurus with AmigaDE running
Rebol !
Until then, let me stick with my PocketPC and other WindowsCE devices,
because my other PDAs were either given as gifts, sold or traded : atleast I
can code on the road ;)
