[REBOL] Rebol to TCL/TK connection
From: tim::johnsons-web::com at: 8-Aug-2002 9:02
Hello Rebols:
While surfing the web yesterday, I came across a brief reference
dated 1999 to a connection from rebol to tcl/tk.
It's at
http://gd.tuwien.ac.at/faqs/faqs-hierarchy/comp/comp.lang.tcl.announce/comp.lang.tcl_Related_Software_Catalog_(June_30,_2000)
(watch the wrap)
And I'm quoting as follows:
####################################################################
What: REBOL to Tcl interface
Where: From the contact
Description: Contact posted a small example demonstrating how simple it
was to set up a client server between REBOL and Tcl/Tk
interpreters so that REBOL could do graphics in that fashion.
Intended only as a proof-of-concept demonstration.
Updated: 07/1999
Contact: <URL: mailto:[icimjs--loop--com]
####################################################################
NOTE: I think the email used to be Elan Goldman's.
I haven't heard from him in a long time.
Does anyone know anything about this or have any code. This
could be very interesting, given the efficiency of DocKimbel's
MySql connection.
uh-oh: [
"I know that some of you might say"
"Just use 'VIEW."
But
"My partners who use perl and python"
"with tkinter just might be come to"
"the REBOL side of the force"
"with something like this"
]
Anyone else know about this?
