[REBOL] Re: Enhancement Request - /Integer and /Fraction Refinements for integer

From: andyyork:gte at: 22-Oct-2000 15:32

...feel compelled to argue as the devils' advocate here. system/local/currency! eh? As it is intended to be WORLD Wide Web it may be in best interests to stick with the most widely accepted AND reasonably stable currencies to ever change hands on this planet, that being USD. USD IS local currency in many more countries than the US. Arguably 95%+ of all ecommerce transactions are in USD. It makes things easy. Banks here in the US and banks in Europe I know of tend to charge prohibitive exchange fees for small currency amounts. There are no countries I know of where USD cannot be spent rather easily. Should we ever have a world dollar it best be green. For the very small number of people who require alternate currencies working around a default should not be that much of a pain.
