what is the purpose? wasn't there already one package rebol format? My idea is: 1) add .zip scheme to rebol - would be loved by many devs. imo ... 2) the question - will 'upgrade command be operational in future once again? As currently there is several places to download from, and whole .rcb stuff could be hidden from eyes of ppl downloading/upgrading 3) we should move towards components - it leads us there logically anyway ;-) We are not just rigid and brave enough in that area. From Cerebrus example we know, that we can have incremental download (using XOR). So e.g. if Core 2.5.4 is superset of Base 2.5.4, maybe those with already having Base in-place, could just download some XY KBs, which would be XORed against Base to create Core :-)

I can still see it in news section. I think that reference to above mentioned doc is not on the main site for quite some time ... -pekr-
