Hi Phil,
I don't think it matters what the smsCountry is set to as
long as the country code is specified in the cellphone
number. This is why it is not an input variable to the
function.
If you have Rebol/view, you could try it at my site

Or, you could email me your cellphone number and I'll try
both freesms and mtnsms from Rebol. :-)
