I don't know what you want. But here's how to write and read a string to and
from the clipboard in Rebol:
>> write clipboard:// "hello"
>> read clipboard://
== "hello"
And here's how to write a file, then read it and put the text in the
clipboard, then read it out of the clipboard:
>> write %test.txt "Antidisestablishmentarianism is the first word in this
file"
>> write clipboard:// read %test.txt
>> read clipboard://
== {Antidisestablishmentarianism is the first word in this file}
