[REBOL] list and text-list questions

Hi, can anyone tell me, where I can learn more about 'list and 'text-list? I
read some old postings but nowhere exists a short description about differences,
best practice usage etc. The best example was provided by Jeff Kreis in
April-2001.
Doing some test the following questions came up:
1. If I move the mouse with in the list, the iterated list is triggered. But the
number of iterations isn't always the same? What's the rule and pattern Rebol
uses to calcualte the needed number of iterations?
2. How are sliders handled? AFAIK now is, that I have to do it myself. Is this
correct?
