Not answering your question, but
couldn't we make a rebol http server,
and reconfigure the browser to request
a file from it (all locally)?

Then, setting the rebol program to
trace/net on, we could see the difference
between a normal request from the browser,
and a shift-click request from the browser.

Anyone know any difficulties with this idea?
