Elan and Gabriele, Following Gabriele's advice I've just downloaded /View 1.2.8 and things are exactly the same i.e. not foreign chars echoed by REBOL/View unfortunatelly :( I'm quite sure this distribution of Linux I'm currently using is just ok about foreign characters since it is widely used here in Brazil by all sort of users that also have different Windows Managers such as Gnome,Fluxbox,IceWm,etc. Well according to you, Elan, if REBOL uses generic linux libraries it has to be able to recognize foreign characters, is it ok? Supposing REBOL does not use generic linux libraries what could be the solution? Maybe the guys at RT could give a word on this topic. Thank you all -- Carlos Lorenz -- Kurumin é 10 www.kurumin.org
