Ministers and Assassins is an abstract strategy board game somewhat reminiscent of traditional
Chess. Played on a 10x10 square board, each player is given one Minister, one Assassin
and eleven Guards.
As in chess, each game piece must follow a few very simple rules when moving.
Guards: must stay on the line intersections and may only move forward diagonally one
intersection at a time and are not allowed to jump Ministers or Assassins. Guards may
move to the outer edges of the game board.
Ministers and Assassins: may move in any non-diagonal direction for as many open squares
as possible. They are not allowed to bypass or jump any other piece, including guards.
Playing the game
There are three possible ways to win the game:
Surround: completely surround your opponents Minister with four of your guards.
Assassination: move your Assassin to a square adjacent to your opponents Minister with
no intervening Guards.
Invasion: move your Minister into your opponents ministers starting location.
