Desktop won't connect

Hi Ho Folks, just got view 1.1 for the PC.
I'm having trouble getting Desktop to connect to the internet. i.e. I click
on "local"... then something times out and I get "Cannot Connect. Working
Offline" appear in the Status text.
I'm running windows NT, at work, across the company LAN.
I can read web sites such as ( x: read http://www.msn.com ) with no
problems, so I don't think it's an obvious networking fault. Though I don't
have access to a pop/smtp server cos work has these turned off. They are
running an MS mailserver only.
Am I missing something here???? Is the Desktop supposed to be working or is
it just a demo at the moment?
or
Do I need to get the View/pro license in order for it to work....
Yours Confused....

Okay, Thanks... It's good to know I'm not going completely mad.

Hmmmm.... While running NT 4.0 across the coporate LAN, I found that, in
order to get DESKTOP to connect to the web correctly I had to bypass the
proxy. Hope this helps some one somewhere...
