[plugin] Firefox 1.0

 [1/4] from: carl::cybercraft::co::nz at: 6-Dec-2004 23:58

Hi all, I've just upgraded my Firefox to 1.0 and the REBOL plugin no longer works. :-( With the previous version it did using the instructions found here... http://www.rebol.org/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/rebol/ml-display-message.r?m=rmlNRHC But on upgrading Firefox I found I was getting crashes that seemed to be related to its Active-X plugin. So I tried a reblet and sure enough, it crashed the browser. On checking for upgrades to the Active-X plugin here... http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/plugin.htm#download I saw there is one for Firefox 1.0, so I installed it. Reblets still don't work however, but at least Firefox doesn't crash now. So, does anyone have the REBOL plugin working on Firefox 1.0? -- Carl Read.

Hi Carl, See http://www.codeur.org/forum/message.php?sujet=2591&theme=17 In french, but easy to understand. 1/ download Firefox 1.0 from official site. 2/ install it 3/ get the plugin for ActiveX from http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/plugin.htm#download 4/ after downloading the plugin ActiveX and before restart firefox 1.0, fin the defaults/pref/activex.js and edit the file with a text editor. Find/replace the line : pref("security.classID.allowByDefault", false); by: pref("security.classID.allowByDefault", true); (Rem : it will decrease the security level ;-( ) 5/ Go to: http://www.rebol.net/plugin/tests/test.html It should be ok. If not, try to contact directly shadwolf. Hope that help you. ==Philippe Selon Carl Read <carl-cybercraft.co.nz>:
