killer app - portal building tool

 [1/3] from: ryan::christiansen::intellisol::com at: 10-Aug-2001 10:45

How about using REBOL to create a portal building tool? Users choose which pieces of content they want from different web sites and the REBOL-based portal builder builds their portal page(s) on the fly? Like this page for example... http://www.fargonews.com/ Of course, if a piece of content is unavailable at the time, REBOL errors out and moves on to grabbing the next piece of information. It's a bandwidth hog, but hey. Ryan C. Oldes' clone of MS Digital Dashboard is a good start: http://www.escribe.com/internet/rebol/m12402.html If only he would make the code available. That is of course, as long as his employer is not preventing him from doing so. Ted

Oh sh*t, sorry ;-) This is one of the best and most complete Rebol works I ever seen. The company is stupid. Once I will meet their reps some day, they will find out ;-) -pekr-
