[ALLY] View on muLinux

 [1/3] from: mdb:gci at: 5-Oct-2000 15:36

Hello, A while back i posted a message about getting View working on muLinux. I had problems but persevered and after adding SVGA support and getting extra fonts, everything was just fine and experimental 0.10.35.4.1 works just fine (libc5). Then i noticed that the PERL addon had support for libc6 so i loaded that, got the experimental 0.10.38.4.2 and it came up just fine. One problem though is when i get the Connect to Internet Popup, "Do you want to connect to the Internet?" and hit YES, the popup just reappears. The Rebol icon shows in the bottom right. Only way to get out was to hit WORK OFFLINE. Does anyone else have this problem? I did get 0.10.38.4.2 to work on a Debain box. Thanks. Mike.

Hi Mike: How is /core working on muLinux? Isn't muLinux a "linux-on-a-floppy" OS? -Tim [mdb--gci--net] wrote:

Tim, /core libc5 version works just fine. I have muLinux set up to run from my hard drive using something called UMSDOS. Linux shows up as a directory under Win 95. There was no need to do any repartitioning, very nice. http://sunsite.auc.dk/mulinux/ I did some further checking last night. The latest /core libc6 version also won't do any networking, so i suspect i'm missing something...
